Mr. Femi Ogunje holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ibadan. He started his career at Yola Metropolitan and Urban Development Board as a Design Engineer.

He left to join the then Nigerian Industrial Development Bank (NIDB), now Bank of Industry (BOI), where he rose through ranks to become the Bank's Chief Risk Officer.

He voluntarily retired from the service of the Bank as the General Manager and Head of Risk Management Group/Chief Risk Officer in 2013.
